“One day Moses said to the Lord, ‘You have been telling me, take these people up to the Promised Land. But you haven’t‘ told me whom you will send with me. You have told me, I know you by name, and I look favorably on you.’ If it is true that you look favorably on me, let me know your ways so I may understand you more fully and continue to enjoy your favor…. The Lord replied, ‘I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you’” (Exo 33:12-14, NLT). It is human to counsel with your fears or limitations and to be uncertain (Exo 4:10-12). But we must recall God’s promises: “For I hold you by your right hand…. Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you” (Isa 41:13, NLT). “…If I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, If I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me” (Pss 139:8-10, NLT). “…I have written your name on the palms of my hands…” (Isa 49:16, NLT). “…The very hairs of your head are all numbered” (Matt 10:30, TLB). “For the Holy Spirit, God’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them” (2 Tim 1:7, TLB). “Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need! He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He gives me new strength. He helps me do what honors Him the most. Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way” (Pss 23:1-4, TLB). “He will never let me stumble, slip, or fall. For He is always watching, never sleeping” (Pss 121:3-4, TLB). “The Lord is watching every where and keeps His eye on both the evil and the good” (Prov 15:3, TLB). “…The Lord is watching His children, listening to their prayers; but the Lord’s face is hard against those who do evil” (1 Pet 3:12, TLB). “I will instruct you… and guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch your progress” (Pss 32:8, TLB). “…No weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you” (Isa 54:17, NLT). “And if you leave God’s paths and go astray, you will hear a voice behind you say, ‘No, this is the way, walk here’” (Isa 30:21, TLB). “Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along His path. He will honor you…” (Pss 37:34, NLT).
