God is Patient With Rebellion

He expected… righteousness, but instead he heard cries of violence. …Why did My vineyard give me bitter grapes” (Isa 5:1-2, 7 & 4, NLT)? “Have [you] not cast out the priests of the Lord, …and have made you priests…” (2 Chron 13:9). “The Lord… says to [those idolatrous (2 Kings 23:4-5)] priests: ‘…You have shown contempt for my name…’” (Mal 1:6, NLT)! “My people are destroyed because they don’t know me, and it is all your fault, you priests, for you yourselves refuse to know me…” (Hos 4:6; Deut 31:9; 2 Kings 23:9, TLB). “Let the wicked change their ways and… turn to the Lord… for He will forgive generously” (Isa 55:7, NLT).
