What Shall We Do To Satisfy God - XXIII?
“…Shall we keep on sinning so that God can keep on showing us more and more kindness and forgiveness? Of course not! [As far as sin is concerned, we are dead]. …For sin’s power over us was broken when we became Christians and were baptized to become part of Jesus Christ. Through His death the power of your sinful nature was shattered…” (Rom 6:1-4, TLB/NIRV). “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed their sinful nature to His cross. They don’t want what their sinful nature loves and longs for” (Gal 5:24, NIRV). “Sin will not be your master. Law does not rule you. God’s grace has set you free” (Rom 6:14, NIRV); thus, you are free to be holy (Lev 20:7 & 1 Pet 1:16), to “…walk in all the ways, which the Lord your God has commanded you…” (Deut 5:33; John 14:15) and to “…walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Cor 5:7).
