“…The Lord is a God of knowledge, and with Him actions are weighed” (1 Sam 2:3, NASB). “Receive… knowledge rather than choice gold” (Prov 8:10). But some people do not “…desire… knowledge of [God’s] ways” (Job 21:14), “and… [do] not like to retain God in their knowledge…” (Rom 1:28). In contrast, others admire God (Micah 7:18) and pray for wisdom and knowledge (2 Chron 1:10). And through His Spirit, God supplies an abundance of wisdom and knowledge (2 Chron 1:12; Exo 31:3). Yet, some of God’s “…people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” (Hos 4:6).
“…All… who have been baptized into Christ… have been baptized into His death” (Rom 6:3, NASB). “…[Having been] united with Him in the likeness of His death, …we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection” (Rom 6:5, NASB). “…As Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life” (Rom 6:4, NASB). “…Our old self was crucified with Him… so that we… [are] no longer… slaves to sin” (Rom 6:6, NASB).
“Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods” (1 Chron 16:25; Pss 96:4, NLT). “The highest angelic powers stand in awe of God. He is far more awesome than all who surround His throne” (Pss 89:7, NLT). “…The elders and the four living beings [fall] down and worship God…” (Rev 19:4 & 5:14, NLT). “…The Lord is in His holy Temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him” (Hab 2:20, NLT). “As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut…” (Eccles 5:1, NLT). “…Take off your sandals” (Exo 3:5, NLT).
“He assigned the moon to mark the months and the sun to mark the days” (Pss 104:19, TLB). Days are defined by “…the evening and the morning…” (Gen 1:5), and every seventh day is the Sabbath (Exo 16:23-29). In contrast, the Moon orbits the earth in 29.5 days, and by visual observation, a New Moon appears when the Moon is NOT visibly illuminated.1 “The first day of every Hebrew month… is marked by… appearance of the New Moon.”2-3 “‘For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make shall remain before Me,’ says the Lord, ‘So shall your descendants and your name remain.
